Trash Credits from Kimble to the City of Alliance

July 12, 2017 (Alliance, Ohio) – The City of Alliance is taking over the billing process for residential trash service. Although trash service will continue as it currently is via Kimble Companies, the service bill will now be added to residential water bills, effective July 1st, 2017.

For residents that previously paid Kimble on a monthly basis, this will be a simple change and the transition should be seamless. For those residents that previously paid ahead and therefore have credit with Kimble, your credits will be honored.

The means of honoring said credits is not yet certain, and there may be a short period before the issue is fully resolved. The City is examining two possible remedies. The preferred remedy, if plausible, would be to simply transfer the credits existing with Kimble into the City’s system, allowing those who have paid ahead to continue using their credits. The second remedy would be to have Kimble reimburse credit holders through individual checks. Regardless of the remedy used, those residents who have paid ahead can be assured their credits will be honored.

The City is working diligently to make a smooth transition to the new billing system and is determined to cause as little inconvenience as possible for all residents.
